An Indian gin brand that brings together the unique flavors of Kinnow, Coriander, and Juniper amongst others, to create a gin that is truly one-of-a-kind

Kinnow

This fruit, which is frequently pronounced Kinoo or Kinu, is a high yielding mandarin and is a cross between the citrus farmers ``King" and "Willow Leaf." It is grown primarily in Punjab, and some parts of Rajasthan on the Punjab border, and is more juicy than oranges. Oranges and kinnows seem very similar, yet they taste very differently. Kinnows are more citrusy in taste while oranges typically have a sweeter taste. The kinnow fruit is known for it’s numerous health benefits, including lowering cholesterol levels and fighting viral infections.

We source our kinnows from the farmers in Punjab, thus ensuring value even in the cases of excessive supply of fruit that would otherwise go to waste. To promote the principle of sustainability, we ensure the use of all parts of the fruit - pulp and peels along with the juice used to make the alcohol.

Juniper

Evergreen Juniperus communis trees can be found all over the world, especially in North America, Europe, and Asia. Seed cones produced by these are the juniper berries.Though the berries' hues vary, the majority are dark blue. Juniper berries have a spicy fragrance that is very noticeable. They are frequently used in small amounts as a spice or flavouring agent and have an acidic, pine-like flavor. Since ancient times, people have utilized these little berries both as food and medicine, and contemporary study indicates that they might have a number of health advantages.

OreGin uses Himalayan Juniper, sourced from the best sources in India. The juniper is used in it’s original state as a botanical to lend that unique gin flavor.

Coriander

Coriander or cilantro is a fantastic source of dietary fibre, manganese, iron, and magnesium. The leaves of the coriander plant are also a significant source of protein, vitamin K, and vitamin C. Additionally, they have trace levels of carotene, niacin, thiamin, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. The seeds of the cilantro plant, also referred to as coriander seeds, can make up a sizable amount of the botanicals in most gins, aside from juniper.

Coriander, a perennial herb that has been used for generations in cuisines all over the world, is another key ingredient in our gin. Once again sourced from a local supplier and used in its original form to infuse the gin and round up the flavor.

Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing

Our botanicals are sourced from the local farmers of Punjab. The farms that source each batch are geotagged indicating our commitment to ensuring transparency in the process of creating a unique, organic drink.

All other botanicals are also sourced locally and directly from producers. The botanicals in their original form are used in the distillation process, personally supervised.

There are no additives, flavors or added sugars in our gin. Further, we have ensured the taste profile of the gin is such that it can be had with plain water, soda or on ice. No need for sugary additives such as tonics or flavored sodas to balance the bitterness common to many gins.

Several tastings across India and South East Asia have ensured proof of concept with a 100% positive response and confirmation of the fact that “anything more than the gin, is an extra”, as one delighted gin connoisseur said to us.
