And in this our name is the key to what the story of OreGin is all about.
Let’s begin this story by telling you a little bit about our founders.
Manpreet Singh
Manpreet is a pioneer in creating alcohol from citrus juice.
Widely known as the "mustache traveller" on Instagram, embodies a spirit of adventure and exploration. Despite his worldly experiences in Paris, London, and Amsterdam, he remains deeply connected to his roots as a farmer boy from Punjab, nurturing a profound desire to give back to his community.
Throughout his journeys spanning 34 countries, Manpreet developed an appreciation for life's finer pleasures while maintaining a strong connection to his rustic heritage. It was in France where his fascination with alcohol took hold, igniting a quest for the perfect drink.
He yearned for a drink that would tantalize the taste buds, be relatively gentle on the body (as far as alcohol goes), and spare him the remorseful pangs of the following morning. This quest persisted as Manpreet followed traditional career paths, until he was struck by an epiphany.
Realizing that he had to create this drink himself, he embarked on a career in the alcohol industry, ultimately culminating in the production of OreGin and a multitude of other marvels, soon to be unveiled to the market.
OreGin is a tale that beautifully weaves together a farmer's unwavering passion and a distiller's deep affection.
REGAN HENRIQUES
Our other founder, hailing from one of the most ancient distilling families in Goa, discovered his passion for the family business at the young age of 16. He pursued his passion further and obtained certification as a distiller from the esteemed "Institute of Brewing and Distilling, Scotland."
Established in 1965 by the late Antonio Jose Henriques, Rhea Distilleries is one of the oldest active distilleries in Goa, situated in the region of Nuvem. Initially specializing in the production of Feni, they have achieved remarkable milestones in the realm of spirits
Today, under Regan's capable leadership, Rhea Distilleries is committed to crafting world-class spirits, including Rum, Feni, Whiskey, and Gin. Emphasizing quality, the team at Rhea personally selects the finest ingredients, many of which are cultivated locally.
The shared appreciation for natural ingredients and a strong dedication to drink quality make the OreGin founders a perfect match for Rhea Distilleries.
PUNJAB AGRO INDUSTRIES CORPORATION LIMITED
The founders are supported in the making of OreGin by Punjab Agro, the premier organisation of the Punjab Government, entrusted with the responsibility of promotion and facilitation of agro based industries.
Punjab Agro was incorporated in 1966 with the objective to provide quality agricultural inputs such as fertilisers, pesticides and tractors to farmers. In the early 1980s, Punjab Agro ventured into project development activities and is now setting up public sector projects in the food processing sector.
The making of OreGin is in line with the Punjab Agro objective of supporting value add to the “kinnow orchards” and since we use all parts of the fruit including the pulp and peels, we are able to align with their need for zero waste as well.

Next, a team came together who shared our passions and believed in our dreams. Years of research, trials and errors, tasting and evolving finally led to this deliciousness captured in a bottle and named OreGin. An original and unique attempt at mandarin based alcohol was successful, making this product one of a kind in the Indian market. A tried and tasted secret recipe curated from botanicals sourced across the country, brings together an OG drinking experience.
